A company of M3A1 Half Tracks of the US 4th Armored Division, passing through the liberated town of Avranches, Normandy. August 1944. An absolutely brilliant colorization by Doug Banks.
Thanks much for this. I was in Company A 51st AIB 4th Armored and was in this breakthrough out of Normandy. The first time I've seen actual halftracks like I rode from Wiltshire England training to Utah all the way to Czeckslovakia on May 8th 1945. We met the Russians there. Then to Hemau Germany army of occupation for about 5 months.
