Ruins of Cologne
U.S. Army Private Brookey is standing in the ruins in front of Cologne Cathedral, which suffered seventy hits by aerial bombs during World War II. May 1945. In June 1945 American troops used it as a rifle range. Most of the town in this area was flattened during the war.

Going Home
