Feldfernschreiber

The Siemens Hellschreiber, a direct printing telegraph system, was devised by Dr Rudolph Hell and developed in the early 1930s.  During WW2 Nazi Germany's Hellschreiber transmission dominated Axis news from the war area. The Feldfernschreiber or "field telegraph writer" also became a standard item of the German Armed Forces and was manufactured in large numbers in Germany and Occupied Europe until the end of the war.
